Privacy Statement


This privacy statement (“Statement”) applies to Binbox, Inc, a Delaware Corporation (hereinafter, “Binbox,” “we,” or “us”). At Binbox, we strive to deliver outstanding products, services, and experiences. We value your business and, more importantly, your loyalty. We recognize that privacy is an important issue. We have developed this Statement to explain our practices regarding the personal information we collect from you or about you on this site, our mobile application, through written or verbal communications with us, or from other sources. While this Statement broadly describes the practices adopted by Binbox, local laws vary and some jurisdictions may place restrictions on our processing activities (e.g., certain jurisdictions may require an express consent to send marketing messages). Therefore, our actual practices in such jurisdictions may be more limited than those described herein in order to enable us to comply with local requirements.


By using any of our products or services and/or by agreeing to this Statement (e.g. in the context of registering for any of our products or services) you agree to the collection and use of Personal Information as described in this Statement.


Please note that this Statement does not apply to our processing of personal information on behalf of and subject to the instructions of potential third parties.

Personal Information We Collect


When requesting our services and products, Binbox may collect personal information in order to deliver safe, secure, and efficient lockers and storage solutions. This personal information may include: customer email address and user-created password which is used to register a unique account for each customer. We may also collect certain kinds of personal information for the purpose of creating a unique online profile for the purpose of purchasing the use of a Binbox storage console. This information may include customer first and last name, telephone number, email address, and the password created when registering a customer account. Binbox also requests payment card information to complete an online profile, but does not store, process, or otherwise transact customer payment card information in any way. Rather, Binbox leverages a third party for all payment card-related activities. The relevant processes instituted by the third party are fully compliant with the Payment Card Industry-Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and information regarding its privacy and security practices can be found at the following address: https://stripe.com/privacy-center/legal . Additionally, Binbox may also collect information to improve our web and mobile services and help us understand how customers are using our products. This information is collected when accessing the Binbox website and the types of information may include the Internet Protocol (IP) address and domain used, the type of browser used, and date and time of visitation to the Binbox website.


Personal Information We Collect from Third Parties


We do not collect information from third parties about you. Additionally, Binbox does not sell or otherwise provide any of your information to a third party, except when cooperating with any law enforcement activity, or when Binbox is obligated to undertake any action required by law.


Use of Personal Information Collected About You



Binbox uses your personal information in a number of ways including the delivery of Binbox services, conducting direct marketing and sales promotions, and performing service improvements.

  • Service Delivery: We use your personal information to verify your identity and provide service for our Binbox storage solutions. We may also use the information provided in your online profile to assist our third-party partner to perform all billing activities when you finish using a Binbox storage console.
  • Marketing and Communications: We may use your personal information to provide or offer you newsletters, promotions and featured specials, as well as other marketing messages. We may also use your information to provide account alerts and reservation confirmations; to send you marketing messages; and to conduct surveys, sweepstakes, prize draws, and other contests. We may provide these communications via email, postal mail, online advertising, social media, telephone, text message (including SMS and MMS), push notifications, in-app messaging, and other means.
  • Service Improvements: We may use your personal information to improve Binbox’s services and to ensure that our website, mobile application, products, and services are of interest to you.
  • Data Correctness, Analytics and Personalization: We may aggregate your personal information with data from third-party sources for purposes of keeping information up to date and analytics. We also rely on information from third parties in order to provide better, more personalized service. For example, if you connect your social media services or other accounts to our services, we may use this information to make your experiences with us more personal and social, or share and use it as described elsewhere in this Statement.



Cookies


Binbox uses cookies to enhance the experience for a user when navigating its website. A cookie is a small file that a web site transfers to your computer’s hard disk, usually to keep track of you while you are connected to that site. The cookie makes it easier for you to use the dynamic features of a site, without having to provide the same information again as you move from one page to another. Certain software applications require the placement of a system-created cookie to function properly. The system-created cookie does not contain, collect, or store any identifying information.


Personal Information From Children


We do not knowingly collect any personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. As a parent or legal guardian, please do not to allow your children to submit personal information without your permission.


Mobile and Location-Based Services


Binbox provides a mobile app that can be downloaded to your smartphone or mobile device. Our app has a variety of functionalities designed to enhance the customer experience. In addition to providing services, our apps may collect personal and other information that will be used in accordance with this Statement. For example, to reserve a Binbox locker or other storage solution, you will be required to provide some personal information, such as the information contained in your online profile or other information as necessary. Our Digital Key functionality within the Binbox app collects information we already have about you, including your user identification, online profile information, and additional information, including use of the key. We provide a link to this Statement to customers prior to their downloading of any of our apps.


If you allow our mobile app to access your location information on your device, our mobile app may use your mobile device’s Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and other technology (such as wireless transmitters known as beacons) to provide you with information based on the location of your device. Beacons allow us to collect information about your location within participating Binbox locations by communicating with mobile devices that are in range. We may use this location information to enhance your on-property experience by delivering push notifications and other content to your mobile device and sending you information about Binbox offers and products, services, or activities that we believe may be of interest to you. To the extent any location data is combined with personal information, that information will be treated as personal information in accordance with this Statement. You may prevent or limit collection of location information by changing the settings in the Binbox app, or by changing your device’s settings.



Links to Third-Party Websites and Services


Our website and our mobile applications may contain links to third parties’ websites. Please note that we are not responsible for the collection, use, maintenance, sharing, or disclosure of data and information by such third parties. If you provide information on and use third-party sites, the privacy policy and terms of service on those sites are applicable. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of websites that you visit before submitting personal information.


Protecting Personal Information


Binbox will take reasonable measures to: (i) protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, (ii) keep personal information accurate and up-to-date as appropriate, and (iii) use reasonable technology to protect the personal information that you transmit to use through our website and mobile application. We also seek to require our third-party partner to with whom we may share personal information to exercise reasonable efforts to maintain the confidentiality of personal information about you.


Unfortunately, no security system or system of transmitting data over the Internet can be guaranteed to be entirely secure. For your own privacy protection, please do not send payment card numbers or any other personal information to us through email. Responsibility for safeguarding the confidentiality of a user identification and password rests solely with the person to whom the identification and password were issued.


Only Binbox employees who need your information to perform a specific job are granted access to your personally identifiable information. We will not contact you by mobile/text messaging or email to ask for your confidential personal information or payment card details. We will not contact you to ask for your Binbox account log-in information. If you receive this type of request, you should not respond to it. We also ask that you please notify us at info@www.binboxlockers.com.


Changing and Accessing Your Personal Information


If you are a Binbox customer, the information you provided to us at the time of registration may be accessed, reviewed and updated at any time by signing in to your online profile.


To the extent required by applicable law, you may be able to request that we inform you about the personal information we maintain about you and, where appropriate, request that we update, correct and/or suppress personal information about you that we maintain in our active database. We will make all required updates and changes within the time specified by applicable law and, where permitted by law, may charge an appropriate fee to cover the costs of responding to the request. To protect your confidentiality, we can only respond to such requests to the email address that you have registered or otherwise provided to us. Please remember that if you make such a request, we may not be able to provide you with the same quality and variety of services to which you are accustomed.


In addition, in some circumstances based on applicable law, you may request that Binbox cease using personal information about you on the grounds that such personal information was acquired by unjust means or used in violation of law by sending your written request to info@www.binboxlockers.com We will seek to honor those requests consistently with applicable law.


Retaining Personal Information


We retain personal information about you for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Statement, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law.


Choices – Marketing Communications


If you have given us your contact information (email address or phone number), we may want to inform you about our products and services or invite you to events via email, online advertising, social media, telephone, text message (including SMS and MMS), push notifications, in-app alerts, our customer service call center, and other means (including on-property messaging). You may change the communications you receive from us by logging on to your online account and managing your subscriptions, or by writing to us (and including your email address) at info@www.binboxlockers.com.


If you prefer not to receive email marketing materials from us, you may opt-out at any time by using the unsubscribe function in the email you receive from us. Opt-out requests can take up to ten business days to be effective.


To opt out of text messages, simply reply “STOP” to the message you received.


You may control whether our mobile apps send you push notifications by changing your notification settings on your mobile device. If we engage in sending you in-app messages, we will allow control for those in our apps’ settings.


Special Notification for California Residents. If you are a California resident under the age of 18, and a registered user of any site where this policy is posted, California Business and Professions Code Section 22581 permits you to request and obtain removal of content or information you have publicly posted. To make such a request, please send an email with a detailed description of the specific content or information to info@www.binboxlockers.com. Please be aware that such a request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or information you have posted and that there may be circumstances in which the law does not require or allow removal even if requested.

Any changes to our Statement will become effective upon posting of the revised Statement on the site.
